Tracey Small, B.A (Soc, Sc.), VN Dip, VTS (Dentistry)
Tracey Small, B.A (Soc, Sc.), VN Dip, VTS (Dentistry) has been a veterinary nurse for over 30 years. Her passion for dentistry began after the birth of her first child whilst working with Dr David Clarke, Diplomate AVDC, Registered Specialist in Veterinary
Dentistry. Together they have worked on all creatures great and small, from meerkats, koalas, Tasmanian Devils to lions, tigers and tapirs. Veterinary dentistry is stimulating
and rewarding, and she knew this was her true calling in the veterinary field.
Tracey completed her Veterinary Nurse diploma (dentistry) in Australia in 2012. Since then, she has assisted in dental workshops, given numerous lectures, and published quarterly dental articles in the Australian Veterinarian. Wanting to further her knowledge
and skill base she embarked on pursing and successfully completing the VTS certification in dentistry. She is currently the Managing Editor of the Journal of Veterinary Dentistry. Tracey’s passion for dentistry shows when she works with clients
to educate and motivate them, ensuring all our patients maintain a healthy oral cavity.
When not pursuing her dental pursuits, Tracey spends time painting, hiking, bird watching, and with her children. She is very fortunate to live in the Dandenong Ranges in Australia where there are a wonderful variety of native birds to paint and natural bush to call home.
